Appearances 98 (League 60)
Goals 7 (League 5)
Tricky winger who drifted out of the squad for six months, returning after playing for the reserves against Barking in the Essex Thames-side Trophy. Scored an injury-time winner at Horsham to keep Boro on course for the Division Two title, celebrating with what would become his trademark somersault, except everyone missed it because they were too busy celebrating themselves. Once went crowd-surfing after a goal at Worthing. Followed a three-red-card season by being sent off again in the end-of-season Players v Supporters match, and did the somersault as he left the field. Booked a holiday to coincide with a five-match suspension at the start of the 1998-99 season, but timed it so badly that he was back for one game after the suspension was over before his holiday even started. Eventually joined the exodus to Bishops Stortford.
