Striker who was released by Cardiff City in 1997 and joined Aveley, for whom he scored twice against Boro in the Thames-side Trophy and also in the East Anglian Cup Final. Came to Sungate in the summer and managed to get on the score sheet on a fairly regular basis as soon as Danny Benstock’s early burst dried up, most of his goals coming after beating several defenders or from long-range deflected shots, but initially had a real aversion to one-on-ones. Had a memorable time in the F A Trophy tie with Worthing, scoring a hat-trick in the first game and arriving late for the replay, before being sent off in injury-time. Finished his debut season as top scorer and was into double figures the following season before joining the bandwagon to Bishops Stortford.
