Biography
Appearances 26 (League 18)
Goals 2 (League 1)
Ex-Dagenham striker who helped to bolster the midfield during a very testing schedule. Barely able to last ninety minutes at that level any more but never let the team down when called upon. Great character and a huge favourite with the supporters wherever he played, and renewed friendship with the Club as player-manager at Stansted when Boro returned to the Essex Senior League in 2002, retiring (supposedly) in December 2003 but continuing to turn out against Romford, at least. Scored against Boro in a League Cup tie in August 2005 two days after his 44th birthday, and made a surprise return to the blue and gold a month later to become the oldest player in the Club's history (until later beaten by Mark Lord) and the first grandad to play for Romford. Returned to Stansted in November however, reportedly due in part to his taking exception to being told what to do by players less than half his age.
