Goalkeeper who deputised for Allen McKnight in both championship seasons, including a clean sheet in the Essex Senior League title clincher at Brentwood and a long spell in the second half of 1996-97 when McKnight had a long-term injury, winning the Safe Hands award in March 1997. Despite some memorable blunders in Essex Senior League games, went on to claim the no. 1 shirt in Division One when McKnight retired, earning a reputation for penalty saves. Lost his place during the autumn of 1999 and spent a year with Barking, before returning in October 2000 under John Bennett, as deputy to Jason White until the Club was suspended by the Ryman League. Stayed with Romford and reclaimed his shirt when the suspension was lifted, remaining with the Club the following season to finally claim the appearance record.
