Young midfielder who was brought into the first team squad in 2004/05 season after good reports from the reserves. Earned his senior stripes early the following season by suffering a corking shiner in a League Cup game against Eton Manor, which was abandoned a minute later when Carl Bruce was injured just as Howe was walking past. Scored his first two goals in consecutive games and visibly grew in confidence as a result, but became only a fringe player after Christmas.
