Centre-back who stepped up from playing for Wapping in Intermediate football, but didn't distinguish himself terribly well in a friendly at Aldershot Town by leaping all of two inches to allow the ball to go over his head, and let in Mark Carter to make it 3-0. Gained in confidence with John Simmonds sweeping behind him and scored the winner in the long-awaited second win of the season, but was a victim of Lyndon Lynch's thorough clean-out following a disastrous team performance in a League Cup tie at Ford United. Used to pay for his fanzines in coppers (it still wasn't enough). Great name for a defender.
