Biography
Appearances 36 (League 25)
Goals 24 (pens 3) (League 21 (pens 3))
Strong but moody striker who joined from Aveley as Paul Joynes wanted a ‘twenty-goal man’. Became the first Boro player to score in each of his first three appearances, and stretched that run to four. Was obviously some sort of talisman as Romford failed to score in his frequent absence (surprise holidays, rock concerts etc) until ten games into the season. Had reached the required twenty goals before a recurrence of an old knee injury in February threatened to curtail his season, but returned a few weeks later. Left for Tilbury.
