Midfielder signed from Metropolitan Police during 1996/1997 season . Took a while to settle really but came into his own during the heavy pitch season, and scored a beauteous late goal at Banstead Athletic at the end of January to preserve Boro's unbeaten away record. Also scored two vital goals at Wivenhoe Town and the promotion clincher against his old club. Not quite so prominent in Division One but was surprisingly offered the chance to play in the Premier Division with Dagenham & Redbridge, which he took with some success. Was released and spent 1998 pre-season with Billericay Town, but was going to rejoin Romford until he opted for a tidy sum from Harlow Town.
