Biography
Appearances 49 (League 39)
Goalkeeper who signed after leaving the Royal Navy, having played for the Combined Services on many occasions. Represented many clubs along the south coast including Worthing, for whom he played in the First Round of the F A Cup, and where he was known as ‘Knocker’ and once turned up for a game dressed as Madonna. Obviously still good enough for Division One but was unhappy being second choice, so left in March 1999 to join Enfield. Returned the following February, via Bishops Stortford and Aveley, and even managed to win the Player of the Year award for his contribution to Boro's successful relegation battle. Fell out of favour with John Bennett (or rather caretaker manager Bob Clarkson) and left to join Leyton Pennant then Barking.
