Striker who came to prominence as a youth team player while at Ford United, scoring against Boro in April 2001. Joined Boro from Barking & East Ham United and scored after eight minutes on his debut, soon establishing a curious habit of doing Rigsby impressions during breaks in play. Took over penalty-taking duties after yet another miss by Kevin Clark. Proved particularly dangerous from long range and scoring record would have been even better but for three goals in two games which had to be replayed, and a three-month barren spell which prompted him to be named as substitute more often than not towards the end of the season. Moved to Basildon United during the close season, becoming captain and converting to centre-back but also scoring an injury-time winner against Boro the following February.
