Promising at centre-back who made his debut in Nov 1999, but was never a regular in the side at first. Left the Club after his first dismissal for a two-footed tackle, but returned in pre-season and obviously enjoyed the trip to the Isle of Wight. Conversion to left-back (on the basis of preferring his left foot) was less than successful, but improved under John Bennett before being released when the Club was suspended. Returned the following pre-season and managed to stay the whole season this time. Was a first-choice at the back in the Essex Senior League and continued to improve until injury and work commitments ruled him out.
