There’s no game for Boro’s First Team this weekend as scheduled opponents Takeley are involved in an FA Vase tie against Stanway Pegasus, but other Boro sides are in action.

On Saturday, Romford Reserves are at home, coincidentally against Takeley, in the Len Cordell Memorial Trophy. This game will be played at Westlands (not at Noak Hill as stated on The FA Full-Time website) with a 2pm kick-off.

Also at Westlands at 2pm on Saturday, Romford ‘A’ entertain Old Barkabbeyans in the Essex Alliance League Division Two, while Romford Flyers are away to Old Parkonians in Division Three.

On Sunday, it’s the turn of Romford FC Women, and they are away to Toby Ladies, who have started the season with two 6-1 wins in the Essex County Women's Football League Premier Division. With the Boro Belles having won 5-4 and lost 4-3 in their opening two league games, this game has the promise of goals. Kick-off is at 2pm, and the game takes place at Nursery Playing Fields in Billericay, CM11 1PU.

There’s no game for the Under 16 side (their next game is on 1st October at Aveley), but on Sunday the Under 13 team are away to Barking.

It being FA Vase weekend, there is just the one Essex Senior League game on Saturday as FC Clacton entertain Athletic Newham, who will be Boro’s next opponents in the Essex Senior Cup following their 4-2 win at Stansted in midweek.
