Belles boss Jason moves to Clapton CFC

Romford FC are sorry to announce that women's team boss Jason Murray will be leaving the club to take up a position at Clapton CFC.

The club would like to place on record its thanks to Jason for his short time with us but, an opportunity come he was not able to turn down, and we wish him best of luck for the future. The women’s section is will keep moving forward and development and progress will continue on the same road. News of a replacement for Jason is imminent, and will be announced in due course.

In leaving, Jason made the following statement:

"It is with a great deal of sadness that I announce that today was my last match in charge of Romford Women.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my spell at Romford FC and found the environment to be incredibly supportive. I’d especially like to thank the existing fan base for the way they have wholeheartedly embraced the women’s team. and I am sure that will continue after my departure.

It has been an absolute pleasure to coach this very talented group of players. I will forever remain extremely proud of the teams development and our performances this season, as well as the numerous first team debuts that we were able to award to players from our u16s squad.

I’m now leaving the team well placed at the top end of the Premier Division, with a realistic shot at promotion as well as an eagerly awaited League Cup Quarter Final draw.

An opportunity has arisen for me at Clapton CFC that was simply just too good to turn down. I would like to thank the club for their understanding, and I hope that the players can push on for promotion and end the season with some well deserved silverware. I shall remain a fan of the Boro Belles and I hope that I will be celebrating their success at the end of the season with my fellow supporters. #UTB"
