Boro away to Hilltop FC in Fifth Round

The draw for the Fifth Round of the Isuzu FA Vase was made this afternoon and Romford have been drawn away to Hilltop FC of the Combined Counties League Premier Division North. The tie is scheduled to be played on Saturday 10 February 2024.

Hilltop FC play their home games at The Middlesex Stadium, Breakspear Road, Ruislip where they are tenants of Hillingdon Borough FC. Hillingdon have a home league scheduled for that day, as they did on the date of the Fourth Round when Hilltop were drawn at home to Erith Town. That game was played at Burnham FC and Hilltop have also played a home Vase tie at Bedfont Sports. Details of where Boro’s tie will be played will be announced in due course.

Hilltop FC are currently bottom of the Combined Counties League Premier Division North but have played only 14 league games to date and have as many as eight games in hand on the teams above them. This is at least in part due to their run in the FA Vase in which they have progressed to the Fifth Round for the first time in their history.

In their run in the competition this season they beaten:
• 2Q – Brook House (H) 1-1 (Won 4-3 on penalties)
• 1 – Knaphill (H) 1-0
• 2 – Amersham Town (A) 3-3 (Won 5-4 on penalties)
• 3 – Hamble Club (H) 5-2 (Played at Bedfont Sports FC)
• 4 – Erith Town (H) 1-1 (Won 3-2 on penalties, played at Burnham FC)

The full draw for the Fifth Round, which was regionalised, is as follows:

1 Emley v Whickham
2 Stourport Swifts v Worcester City
3 Hallam v Lincoln United

South

1 Bridgwater United v Deal Town
2 Tilbury v North Greenford United
3 Highworth Town v Great Wakering Rovers
